October 3, 2013 — The ScottCare Corp. announced Innovo, a rechargeable digital transmitter for the company’s VersaCare multi-parameter telemetry solution serving cardiopulmonary rehabilitation clinics throughout the U.S. and internationally. ScottCare will feature the Innovo unit at this year’s Annual Meeting of the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR) October 3-5 in Nashville, Tenn.

The new transmitter has a low-maintenance lithium-ion rechargeable battery that saves costs for customers. The Innovo transmitter also incorporates a power-save mode that puts the unit to sleep after five minutes of inactivity, helping to conserve battery power. The Innovo also extends battery life and simplifies use by adding an On/Off switch to enable a quick and easy way to shutdown the device.

The Innovo is more than 30% smaller and lighter and is designed with increased durability. The Innovo also offers an illuminated and raised power switch for more effortless operation. The unit is compatible with all ScottCare digital telemetry systems and still features both three-wire and five-wire leads.

In addition to the new Innovo transmitter, ScottCare will be showcasing the upcoming release of VersaCare version 2.1, which will feature direct integration with AACVPR’s Outpatient Cardiac Rehabilitation Registry. This integration will enable VersaCare users to more easily and precisely benchmark and manage patient outcomes against national data.

VersaCare 2.1, the industry’s only Windows 7-based rehab telemetry system, includes multiple usability enhancements including one-click modality transition, advanced Outcomes (SQL) query capabilities for customized reporting, incorporation of the MET formula for NuStep T5 recumbent cross trainer users, and a more user-friendly layout for VersaCare’s mobile companion, VersaCare GO. VersaCare 2.1 will also include the availability of HIPAA-compliant encrypted hard drives and flash drives.
