New Cardiovascular Decision Support Software Previewed

December 9, 2009 — A new cardiovascular care system was previewed during the recent Medica exhibition in Germany. The system, slated for a 2010 launch, provides clinical decision support for cardiovascular care of critically ill patients.

Navigator has the potential to provide better care of critically-ill patients by enabling a systematic and protocol-based approach to care. To address clinician cognitive overload and to simplify cardiovascular care, the Navigator system interprets cardiovascular data and presents the information graphically against treatment goals. Its clinical decision support is useful in any situation in which resuscitation, stabilization and optimization of hemodynamic and oxygen metabolism is required, including ICU, OR and emergency medicine.
