July 9, 2007 - Zerusa Limited and Vascular Solutions Inc. announced that they have entered into a distribution agreement in which Vascular Solutions will distribute Zerusa’s Guardian hemostasis valve, which received 510(k) FDA clearance, to develop market acceptance for the valve in the U.S.
The valve is designed to maintain hemostasis during interventional catheterization procedures through a sealing system, which reportedly allows simple introduction and removal of interventional devices with the option to lock wires in place.
Vascular Solutions will launch the valve through its 80-plus employee direct U.S. sales force sometime in July of this year.
