November, 2007 - Toshiba America Medical Systems showcased its Aquilion CT, Aplio XG ultrasound system, Virtual Explorer 3D Workstation and Infinix VF-i/SP X-ray system at AHA 2007.
Aquilion CT enhancements include a new V3 software release on the CT console that enables faster scanning and data analysis, resulting in improved efficiency and more accurate diagnoses. The Aplio XG ultrasound system includes Tissue Doppler Imaging Quantification (TDI-Q) β software that allows clinicians to perform various analyses for TDI images, measuring myocardial viability and aiding in the diagnosis of coronary artery disease. As part of the TDI-Q package, the Aplio XG offers dysynchronous imaging (DI), a technique that aids in the quantification of left ventricular mechanical dysynchrony by providing a color-coded display that demonstrates the timing of events within the myocardium of the heart.
