February 22, 2023 — A range of hot topics will be the focus of five ACC23.WCC keynote presentations to be delivered during the American College of Cardiology 72nd Annual Scientific Session, ACC.23/WCC, set for March 4-6 in New Orleans, LA. Planned in conjunction with the World Congress of Cardiology, the association has announced that during “ACC Together with WCC,” premier experts will cover issues facing all who deliver cardiovascular health care today — from identification and treatment of heart disease in women, wellbeing, and professional fulfillment in cardiovascular medicine and sciences, to testing and treatment of cardiomyopathy, and an ever-important focus on health equity, a major theme throughout the entire meeting, among others.
The five keynote sessions to be presented during ACC.23 Together with WCC include:

The keynote sessions, and range of topics impacting ACC members, were highlighted in a recent “ACC.23 with WCC” media briefing which featured Douglas Drachman, MD, FACC, Chair of the 2023 ACC Scientific Session, and Katie Berlacher, MD, MS, FACC, who is serving as ACC.23 Vice Chair. Drachman is the Director of Education at the Corrigan Minehan Heart Center, and the Teresa G. and Ferdinand F. Martignetti Endowed Chair for Cardiovascular Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital. Berlacher is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Program Director – Cardiovascular Fellowship, Associate Chief of Education, and part of the UPMC Heart and Vascular Institute. She is currently serving as chair of ACC’s Lifelong Learning Oversight Committee.
