Vitrea Enterprise 6.1 Offers Clinical and Workflow Enhancements


June 29, 2011 — Vital Images, a Toshiba Medical Systems company, released Vitrea Enterprise Suite (VES), Version 6.1. Enhancements in Version 6.1 build on the Vitrea Enterprise Suite and improve clinical workflows through advancements such as expanded integration capabilities.

Version 6.1 includes automated bone removal and enhanced vessel grow functions for head and neck studies, multi-volume fusion support for 4-D brain perfusion, body perfusion and myocardial perfusion enhancements, such as multi-volume fusion of color maps and coronary arteries. The 4-D brain perfusion, body perfusion and myocardial perfusion enhancements are available only outside the United States and only with Vitrea fX.

Version 6.1 provides greater workflow capabilities through expanded integrations with Mirada’s Oncology Fusion and both iCAD and Medicsight’s CT ColonCAD computer-aided detection (CAD) applications, a new application launcher for picture archive and communications systems (PACS), a usage reporting function and a Web-based centralized logging tool.

Vitrea Enterprise Suite is a comprehensive advanced visualization solution that addresses the clinical and healthcare IT needs in hospitals and clinics across the globe. It provides in-depth cardiovascular, neurovascular and oncology imaging solutions that can be accessed throughout the enterprise and via the Web for effective communication and decision support.
