June 16, 2009 - Numa, a nuclear medicine connectivity and system integration company, debuted at the SNM 2009 annual conference NumaManage, a new patient scheduling and workflow manager for a Nuclear Medicine or PET/CT department designed to streamline the workflow and schedule management of a molecular imaging department.
The company’s goal is for NumaManage to replace the traditional static whiteboard with a digital, touch screen interface, providing flexibility and efficiency with real-time information updates. NumaManage is also a DICOM Worklist Provider, in which the user only needs to input patient information once, and the information is distributed throughout the department. This new tool also has the ability to reference the current stage in the patient study procedure by a coloring coding system, which will mark the arrival, start, completion or a cancellation of the study.
NumaManage aims to eliminate the need to re-enter patient, reduce in re-work due to fewer human errors, streamline workflow, allow patient/camera/room scheduling to be done all on a computer, customize profiles to fit study protocols, and the capability of embedding notes into the studies.
