January 19, 2017 — Materialise NV has launched AnatomyPrint, an easy-to-use service for medical professionals that delivers 3-D printed anatomical models directly to their doorsteps. The new service was launched during the 2016 Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) Scientific Assembly and Annual Meeting, Nov. 27-Dec. 2 in Chicago.
Materialise offers a full suite of medical 3-D printing solutions, including medical 3-D printing software, high-end anatomical models for surgical preparation and planning, and printing services including segmentation and design services. AnatomyPrint now completes this set of tools for the medical industry, providing a simple and fast way to obtain 3-D printed models.
AnatomyPrint users simply upload an STL file and choose their preferred material, and Materialise will deliver a high-quality, 3-D printed anatomical model. These Class 1 medical devices can be used for visualization, for communication with patients and other physicians as well as educational purposes. This service improves access to 3-D printed anatomical models by allowing radiologists, clinicians and other medical professionals to quickly and easily obtain models without the cost of purchasing their own 3-D printer.
Materialise collaborated with Carestream during the 2016 RSNA annual meeting, leveraging the new AnatomyPrint service to improve access to 3-D printed anatomical models for Carestream’s customers in the medical industry.
