Kardia Releases Next-Generation Vascular Reporting System

March 30, 2009 -Kardia Health Systems, a company incorporated to commercialize the Mayo Clinic-invented Echocardiography Information Management System, launched its latest intelligent reporting system for vascular labs at ACC 2009.

KARDIA V, the fully integrated reporting and image viewing solution, aims to help vascular clinics streamline workflow, while improving operational efficiencies.

The SaaS model, or 'software as a service', uses a Web-based platform, allowing practitioners convenient and remote management capabilities of patient images and records- anytime, anywhere. This EMR compatible interface reportedly features robust reporting and a fully editable graphics program, designed for the most frequently performed vascular procedures. KARDIA V auto-populates measurements to help reduce errors. This process reportedly speeds along diagnostics, eliminating dictation and transcription services and helps clinics focus more on the treatment of patients.

KARDIA V is HIPAA compliant, and has Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Vascular Laboratories (ICAVL) compliant structured reports and ICAVL report generation for accreditation submission.
