Agfa HealthCare IMPAX Cardiovascular Offers Imaging, Reporting Solutions

Agfa HealthCare's IMPAX Cardiovascular (IMPAX CV) technology expands the diagnostic capabilities of multiple cardiovascular modalities. A comprehensive, cost-effective solution for cardiovascular imaging and reporting, IMPAX CV enables clinicians to comprehensively review and post-process images. From a single point of access, IMPAX CV provides a consolidated, longitudinal view of the entire cardiovascular patient record. Hospitals and cardiology practices can use IMPAX CV to integrate patient images and information from multiple cardiovascular and radiology modalities into a full-featured Web-based physician reporting system. Compliance with open standards provides for IMPAX CV compatibility with multiple modalities, hospital systems, and best-in-class applications - regardless of technology vendor.

IMPAX CV software provides for cardiac CT, Web-based PACS, and quantitative analysis packages for echocardiography and angiography. Agfa HealthCare’s vendor-independent and patient-centric approach provides cardiovascular departments with the freedom to choose powerful technology solutions that extend their diagnostic capabilities. The system allows for image review, processing and reporting for multiple modalities, including adult and pediatric echocardiography, vascular ultrasound, cardiac catheterization, nuclear cardiology, cardiac CT, and ECG.

The system offers integration and enhanced communication with standards-based hospital information distribution systems, including PACS/RIS, HIS/CIS, CPOE, and EMR/EHR, and IMPAX CV. The company says by simplifying the collection and availability of patient information, IMPAX CV helps provide the data needed by clinicians when and wherever they need it.
