Advanced Visualization Adds Robust Tools Remotely

Vitrea Enterprise Suite 1.3 by Vital Images.

June 11, 2010 - Web-based advanced visualization tools are no longer limited by remote access and today provide solutions as robust as their workstation-based counterparts.

Vital Images released the Vitrea Enterprise Suite 1.3 with new clinical capabilities, including adult and pediatric cardiac applications and an enhanced set of workflow tools. Less than six months after releasing the company's 1.2 version, Vital Images is engineered to be reliabile and easy to use via the Web in a thin client solution.

New applications include cardiac multichamber analysis with adult and pediatric options that automate atrial and ventricular chamber analysis and leverage low dose computed tomography (CT) scanning protocols. Clinical enhancements to cardiac structural analysis tools, Vessel Probe and Vessel Walk, enable navigation through complex cardiovascular anatomy.

A host of additional workflow features support review of CT and magnetic resonance (MR) scans, while a new edge-detecting contouring tool, single-click volume segmentation and improved report access streamline case reviews and enhance communication between clinicians.

Vitrea Enterprise Suite 1.3 also now enables Web-based access to MeVis Visia CT Lung, a clinically validated computer-aided detection (CAD) system for chest CT. MeVis' integrates within Vital Images' reading workflow. In addition, Medicsight ColonCAD integration and a new myocardial perfusion application are available outside the United States.
