iNtuition is TeraRecon's new, unified workflow platform, which delivers the best possible solution for advanced image management in an enterprise and an efficient way to manage workflow once the CT data leaves the MDCT scanner.
This unified workflow solution aligns TeraRecon’s platform for the next 5 years by taking the best elements of existing Aquarius 3D image processing, editing tools, and clinical workflow and molding them to meet any advanced processing need for 3D technologists, radiologists, cardiologists, and referring physicians. Aquarius iNtuition offers a range of options that can be tailored to integrate with established clinical infrastructure and other vendor products to deliver the optimal 3D solution in the enterprise.
The iNtuition workflow platform is a very elegant and simple-to-deploy solution designed to manage the MDCT slice overload problem in an enterprise. iNtuition enabled Aquarius products offer an advanced, procedural workstation configuration for the 3D technologist, a powerful reading/browsing station for the diagnosing physician and a fast, simple 3D review tool for the referring MD. TeraRecon then adds a powerful workflow capability with an automated pre-processing system to do as much 3D editing as possible automatically upon completion of the exam. From this point, the 3D technologist can perform validation and corrections, the reading physician can focus directly on diagnosis, and the referring physician can access the 3D results with a simple viewer for therapy planning or patient consultation.
All these elements are unified on a common backend system with client-server sharing of powerful resources and data. The common backend supports IHE/HL7 and DICOM integration with the PACS/RIS/ EMR infrastructure of the imaging enterprise to complete the workflow.
Aquarius iNtuition will continue to evolve as the future of image management and advanced post-processing since it is designed for the next 5 years and not just for today. It takes advantage of TeraRecon’s leadership in pioneering the client-server 3D rendering architecture and delivering the powerful tools needed for every reading radiologist while keeping them simple and easy to remember.
