Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiology Named 2019 Azbee Awards Finalist for Social Media

March 8, 2019 — Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiology (DAIC) was named a finalist in the Social Media Presence category for the 2019 Azbee Awards, at both the regional and national levels. Bestowed annually by the American Society of Business Publication Editors (ASBPE), the Azbee Awards recognize the best editorial, online content and design in business-to-business (B2B) media.

DAIC was recognized as a finalist in the Online Social Media Presence category for its social media strategy that allowed it to reach 100,000 people or more every month over the last 12 months.

The publication developed a strategy to use social media to cover medical conferences. Facebook is the primary platform, with posts just from conferences and hospital visits in 2018 having reached nearly 1 million readers. DAIC reached and average of 100,000-300,000 unique viewers at each of its last four conferences. The publication broke 100,000 unique viewers in March 2018 and maintained that rate through last December.

DAIC is the industry news and product/technology resource for more than 25,000 healthcare professionals within hospitals, heart centers and related facilities. These influential buying team members rely on DAIC's award-winning editorial content and comparison charts as a unique research tool for specifying, recommending and approving technology/device purchases.
