January 9, 2017 — BioCardia Inc. announced in December the issuance of United States Patent No. 9,517,199 relating to a method of delivering cells to patients who have chronic myocardial infarcts. This new patent follows United States Patent No. 9,504,642, issued to BioCardia two weeks prior.
BioCardia is developing regenerative biologic therapies to treat cardiovascular disease. CardiAMP and CardiALLO cell therapies are the company’s biotherapeutic product candidates in clinical development. The company's current products include the Helix transendocardial delivery system and the Morph steerable guide and sheath catheter portfolio.
