Springboard Healthcare, 2016 wage survey, cath lab, electrophysiology, interventional radiology, salaries

October 4, 2016 — SpringBoard Healthcare is now taking responses for its nationwide wage survey of nurses, technicians and specialists working in cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology and interventional radiology labs. The survey is designed to gather comprehensive insight into the salaries and wages of employees in that sector. The results, based on data from thousands of participants, highlight salary and wage differences by job type, experience, facility type, credentials, and state and region.

The survey can be accessed here: http://svy.mk/2d9pBlQ. It closes on October 15, 2016 and results will be available in January 2017.

The survey results provide valuable information to those working in the field that can be used to make important decisions about compensation, continuing education, certification and career path. Using the data, workers may decide to seek a raise, earn credentials or pursue other work arrangements.

Here are a few key findings from the last survey:

  • 30 percent of respondents said they received a pay increase for earning credentials;
  • 63 percent reported that their employer reimbursed for certification expenses;
  • RNs working in combination labs earned higher wages than those working in EP or cath labs; and
  • Traveling workers earned significantly higher wages compared to non-traveling workers across all regions.

Participants in the survey will receive a personal copy of the 2016-2017 Cath Lab, EP and IR Wage Survey results. The survey closes on Oct. 15, 2016 and results will be available in January 2017.
