May 14, 2015 — ScImage announced that it has received validation for its PICOM365 enterprise picture archiving and communication system (PACS) within the framework of the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) system. The solution was validated as “Supported for HL7 Communication” with VHA’s VistA Imaging system.
ScImage has already achieved Department of Defense Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP) accreditation and a Digital Imaging Network-PACS (DIN-PACS) purchasing contract) and is certified as a primary government contractor for turnkey operations.
The VA’s VistA Imaging system integrates clinical images, scanned documents and other non-textual data into the patient's electronic medical record. VistA Imaging can capture and manage many different kinds of images, including clinical images from endoscopy, pathology, dermatology, cardiology, radiology and nuclear medicine images, scanned clinical and administrative documents and electrocardiogram (ECG) waveforms.
ScImage has received an official ATO (Authorization to Operate) and ATC (Authorization to Connect) through DIACAP, enabling DoD military service branches to implement PICOM365 at DoD medical treatment facilities around the globe.
PICOM365 Enterprise PACS consolidates reading and reporting of all medical imaging exams within a single platform, which can boost productivity while simplifying operations and minimizing support costs. PICOM365’s scalable, Web-enabled platform integrates easily with complex workflow environments and complies with HL7, DICOM and IHE standards.
