March 6, 2015 — TomTec Imaging Systems GmbH will introduce its 4-D RV-Function software for right ventricular function analysis at the 64th Annual Scientific Session of the American College of Cardiology (ACC. 2015).

4-D RV-Function provides a comprehensive evaluation of the right ventricle including volumes and strain analysis. 4-D RV-Function provides end-diastolic volume (EDV), end-systolic volume (ESV), right ventricular ejection fraction (RVEF), stroke volume (SV), redundant ventricular lead systems (RVLS), tricuspid annular peak systolic excursion (TAPSE) and fractional area change (FAC). Distance measurements can also be analyzed. Clinical benefits include:

  • Automatic contour proposal – no laborious manual contour drawing
  • Right ventricle longitudinal strain for septum and free wall
  • Store acquisition windows to save navigation time
  • Save bookmarks for clinical follow-ups

4-D RV-Function delivers a quick and reproducible analysis of the right ventricle, thus increasing diagnostic confidence by visualizing the complexity of the RV shape in 3-D.
