Hospital Implements Lumedx CVIS to Support Multi-Site Heart and Vascular Center

March 18, 2014 — Lumedx Corp. is a provider of vendor-neutral cardiovascular imaging and information systems (CVIS). It announced it has contracted to provide Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital with a comprehensive CVIS that will integrate patient data and images across five different sites. The Lumedx CVIS will consolidate data, improve physician access to patient information, streamline clinical workflows, and support outcomes analysis and registry reporting for the Phoebe Heart and Vascular Center.

The Heart and Vascular Center and Lumedx have planned a staged implementation that will enable electronic:

  • Physician reporting for cardiac catheterization, echocardiography, pediatric echocardiography, electrophysiology, nuclear cardiology and peripheral vascular invasive and diagnostic workflows
  • Web-based Lumedx PACS for the five Phoebe facilities
  • Analytics, including clinical and financial analytics dashboards
  • Scheduling
  • Inventory and billing
  • National registries
  • Remote access to patient information

The hospital also plans to automate participation in the following national cardiac registries using Lumedx registry software:

  • ACC NCDR ACTION Registry-GWTG
  • ACC NCDR CARE Registry
  • ACC NCDR CathPCI Registry
  • ACC NCDR ICD Registry
  • STS Cardiac Surgery Database
