Siemens Healthcare Adds Radimetrics Functionality to RIS

August 17, 2012 — Siemens Healthcare announced an agreement to enhance the syngo Workflow Dose Management module by incorporating eXposure, a comprehensive radiation dose management and reporting solution from Toronto-based Radimetrics.

When combined with syngo Workflow RIS, the solution automatically captures the radiation dose information in a diagnostic report without any additional clicks or dictation, saving time for the radiologist. The solution is only available in the United States.

There is an increased emphasis on radiation safety, especially in the United States, that has created the need for better dose tracking and monitoring tools. Through this integration, Siemens and Radimetrics will allow hospitals and imaging centers to more easily comply with these types of dose monitoring requirements, and automatically capture radiation dose information without adding extra workflow steps. The integrated solution provides an extensive set of features such as a Cumulative Dose Tracking Scorecard, a Dosimetry Worksheet that incorporates an advanced simulation engine, Protocol Management Tools with support for multiple scanners, and Dose Reporting Dashboards with customized data views.
