Vital Images Recognized for Service Excellence by J.D. Power and Associates

Company achieves certification for third consecutive year

June 22, 2012 β€” Vital Images Inc., a Toshiba Medical Systems Group company, has been recognized by J.D. Power and Associates for the third consecutive year. The company achieved certification under the J.D. Power and Associates Certified Technology Service and Support Program. This distinction recognizes Vital Images for delivering "An Outstanding Customer Service Experience" to its customers in North America.

"Providing a high standard of support for our customers is a top priority at Vital Images, so achieving this level of recognition directly based on customer input is exciting," said Jim Litterer, vice president of operations at Vital Images. "This is a direct reflection of how our customers feel we are delivering on that commitment and allows us to continually raise the bar on what customers should expect from their enterprise solutions."

J.D. Power independently surveyed Vital Images customers on the quality of its service delivery. To achieve certification, the company must score among the top 20 percent of medical device organizations nationwide, based on J.D. Power and Associates' extensive medical device industry benchmark customer satisfaction research.

Jointly developed by J.D. Power and Associates and the Technology Services Industry Association (TSIA), the program evaluates overall customer satisfaction and helps technology support organizations increase their efficiency and effectiveness in customer service. The certification also helps customers identify those companies that have demonstrated customer service excellence before selecting which technology products to purchase. According to J.D. Power and Associates, by passing rigorous standards of the certification process, Vital Images demonstrates a strong commitment to providing customers with a dependable, positive experience, and the company understands the importance of meeting the needs of its customer base by supporting a successful service and support organization.
