April 7, 2011 – Esaote International NV will acquire 3mensio Medical Imaging BV in order to expand its role in healthcare information technology (IT). Following this acquisition, Pie Medical Imaging BV (PMI), a group company of the Esaote group, and 3mensio have announced that they have joined their business activities.
“PMI and 3mensio have a shared vision on how to develop highly innovative technological software solutions to support health care providers,” said Boudewijn Verstraelen, CEO of PMI. “With 3mensio and its 3-D/4-D visualization technology we will be able to accelerate the realization of the tools that our customers need for optimal treatment of their patients.”
