September 21, 2009 — Minnow Medical recently announced it will be presenting interim clinical data regarding a novel technology to treat Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD) on Monday, Sept. 21. The presentation, led by James R. Margolis will take place at 11:58 a.m. in room 133.
The Minnow Medical Z Cath Peripheral Catheter System, combines standard Percutaneous Transluminal Angioplasty (PTA) balloon with radiofrequency technology to treat patients with PAD in the superficial femoral and popliteal arteries. Subjects in the clinical study evaluating the Minnow Medical Z Cath System were recruited from medical centers in Germany, Chile and Argentina.
To date 78 subjects have been treated with the Z Cath System, 48 of which have reached the six month endpoint. During the presentation Dr. Margolis will discuss the Z Cath System, case studies as well as clinical safety and efficacy at six months.
