Philips Partners With Healthworks to Offer Live Lecture Webinars on EP Essentials

May 14, 2009 - Partnering with Healthworks Inc., the Philips Learning Center is offering a series of live lecture webinars called “Electrophysiology: The Essentials.”

The series is presented by Jeffrey A. Stiffler, executive vice president, electrophysiology, and Marta Martinez, clinical specialist/education associate for Healthworks Inc.

The webinar series covers cardiac anatomy and physiology, diagnostic EP equipment and techniques, atrialventricular node ablation, atrial flutter - the macro re-entry prototype, and atrioventricular node rentry tachycardia (AVNRT).

All of the current courses in this live lecture webinar series have been approved for category A continuing education (CE) credits by the American Society of Radiologic Technologists. Future courses (atrial flutter and AVNRT) in the series have been submitted and are pending CE approval. This series is appropriate for any healthcare professional working in the EP laboratory including nurses, cardiovascular technologists, cardiac invasive specialists, radiologic technologists, etc., although CE credit is for radiologic technologists. These live lectures are priced at $30 per credit for individuals and $20 per credit per person for group registrations (five individuals per group registration).

The atria flutter – the macro re-entry prototype, is the first webinar scheduled for 7 p.m. EDT Thursday, June 4 and Tuesday, June 9. Webinar presentation details are available via the Philips Learning Center at www.theonlinelearningcenter.com. Select Course Catalog, then either the Scheduled Webinars or Cardiology categories within the course catalog.

Once registered, attendees may choose the date they would like to attend from the course catalog – with space limited to 200 per lecture. Previous webinar recorded sessions in this series are available within the Course Catalog, by selecting the cardiology category.

Attendees must be a registered user of the Philips Learning Center – new registrations are being accepted.
