February 26, 2009 - The 18th Interventional Cardiology Symposium is June 18-20, in Montreal Canada.
Organizers say the event is the largest meeting on interventional cardiology in Canada and includes dynamic presentations by renowned Canadian and international experts. The event will cover the latest developments and newest technologies in the field and will feature live cases from partner organizations across the continent.
Topic Highlights include clinical management of ACS (USA-NSTEMI), decision making (multivessel, investigation), approach to acute STEMI (primary vs. facilitated), updates in DES with new designs and a new alloy, optimal medical management, diabetes, complex anatomy (LM, CTO, bifurcation, SVG), stem cells, percutaneous valvular intervention, protective devices, new drugs, and new approaches, including the radial approach and how to minimize bleeding.
The program is organized by the Montreal Heart Institute, with off-site partners Duke University Medical Center and the Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institute.
