February 16, 2009 - Registration is now open for the Heart Rhythm Society’s free Reality EP Webcast, “Role of 3D ICE and Epicardial Mapping in the Ablation of Ventricular Outflow Tract Tachycardia,” at 7 p.m. EDT Wednesday, March 4.
This new Webcast will feature a panel discussion of an ablation of ventricular outflow tract tachycardia procedure utilizing 3D ultrasound, coronary venous mapping, and percutaneous epicardial mapping in determining the site of origin of the ectopic beats and in guiding ablation.
Expert faculty for this session includes William G. Stevenson, M.D., FHRS; David J. Wilber, M.D., CCDS; and Neil Brysiewicz.
Upon completion of this educational activity, participants will be able to use the surface ECG to identify potential sites of VT origin and plan optimal mapping strategies prior to the procedure. They will also recognize the differences between, and limitations of, both transvenous and percutaneous transpericardial approaches to epicardial mapping of outflow tract VT, and use 3D echo to construct anatomic mapping templates and guide ablation of outflow tract VT.
