August 29, 2007 — The American College of Chest Physicians (ACCP) is inviting medical professionals from around the world to attend CHEST 2007, the 73rd Annual International Scientific Assembly, Oct. 20-25, 2007, in Chicago.
CHEST 2007 is the only medical meeting focusing on clinical chest medicine, including pulmonology, critical care, cardiology, and sleep medicine.
The event will offer the latest information on patient care and practice management strategies. CHEST 2007 is open to all medical professionals and healthcare industry representatives with an interest in pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine.
The event features more than 150 pulmonary/critical care general sessions on sleep disorders, pandemic illness, disaster medicine, health-care disparities, lung cancer, COPD, and critical care. More than 900 new, cutting-edge clinical research abstracts and case reports will be presented. More than 150 exhibitors will also showcase the latest products, technology advances and information delivery systems.
Professionals can also earn up to a maximum of 36 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits through attendance at CHEST 2007.
Veteran journalist Jonathan Cohn and author of “Sick: The Untold Story of America's Health Care Crisis — and the People Who Pay the Price,” will give the CHEST 2007 keynote address Monday, Oct. 22. Cohn is senior editor for New Republic and a contributing editor to the American Prospect.
