May 1, 2007 — The Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography (SCCT), announced a new annual award program focused on innovation in the field of patient care. The Young Investigator's Award, sponsored by Toshiba America Medical Systems Inc. through an unrestricted educational grant, will be awarded to two physicians for their patient care research in the categories of clinical and technical cardiovascular CT.
This year's award recipients will be announced at the SCCT's second Annual Scientific Meeting July 5-8, 2007. Recipients will receive $2,500 and will have their manuscripts and abstracts published in the Journal of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography, the official journal of the SCCT.

The SCCT is now reviewing abstracts for the Young Investigator's Award in two categories - clinical and technical aspects of cardiac CT. Deadline for submission was April 3, 2007. Award details are as follows:
• Manuscripts must be 2,500 words or less.
• The submitted manuscript must be formatted according to the guidelines of JCCT (go to http://journals.elsevierhealth.com/periodicals/jcct/ for more details on specifications).
• The material must not be previously published.
• The applicant must be within five years of fellowship training.
