New SPECT/CT, cardiovascular IT and PET/CT technologies were on display by Philips Medical Systems at the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology (ASNC) annual meeting in Montreal.
The Precedence 64-slice SPECT/CT is the only hybrid-imaging system that delivers comprehensive cardiac management on a single imaging platform, and the latest version of Xcelera extends its patient-centric approach to image and information management to the nuclear cardiology domain. Xcelera 2.1 has recently received FDA clearance for commercial marketing in the U.S.
The company also displayed the GEMINI TF PET/CT system, featuring advances in evaluation and analysis of cardiac disease.
Philips has also announced the 1,000th installation the CardioMD gamma camera and data validating the benefits of computed tomography (CT) angiography. The patient-friendly open gantry design provides easy patient access and allows claustrophobic patients to be imaged.
