Neovasc Offers Arterial, In-Stent Measurement Device

Neovasc (formerly Angiometrx) is the developer of the Metricath System, an arterial and in-stent measurement device that assists physicians with optimal stent size selection and helps confirm optimal stent expansion during the treatment of coronary and peripheral artery disease.

The system pairs a digital console and two types of Metricath catheters: the Metricath Libra measurement catheter, and the Metricath Gemini measure-and-treat catheter, which combines measurement capabilities with a treatment balloon for pre- or post-dilatation. The company said with one-button operation, the Metricath System allows physicians to quickly and precisely measure lumen diameters and cross-sectional area, with no need for image interpretation.
