Thrombectomy Catheter Boasts Clot Removing Power; Tip, Hub Improvements

The AngioJet SpiroflexVG Rheolytic Thrombectomy catheter is the first AngioJet catheter of its size to be offered in a Rapid Exchange platform.
Utilizing its proprietary Spiroflex shaft technology, the Spiroflex VG catheter benefits from several design improvements made to the most recent generation of Possis Medical products. The catheter offers improved trackability inside the vessel and includes tip and hub improvements found on the recently introduced Spiroflex catheter. The Spiroflex VG Catheter is fully released for sale in the U.S. for peripheral use.
Possis also recently announced that its Fetch Aspiration Catheter has received 510(k) clearance from the FDA. Using catheter technology from the company's AngioJet Rheolytic Thrombectomy System, Fetch offers physicians another alternative for the aspiration of small, fresh blood clots (thrombus) and other embolic debris from arteries.
Fetch uses an industry-standard syringe as its aspiration source, and provides flexibility and handling needed for interventional procedures.
