Webinar Examines How to Implement Integrated Cardiovascular Information Systems

July 8, 2008 - The University of Mississippi Medical Center and St. Peter’s Hospital each implemented a suite of IT applications to equip their CV service lines with true cardiovascular information systems, and they will explain how they did it during the Webinar “Building a Fully Integrated Cardiovascular Imaging and Information System” at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 24.

The two hospitals were able to integrate disparate systems, streamline workflow, improve quality, and help grow physician referrals and patient volume. The Webinar will explain the strategy and tools behind building systems that handle multiple applications, including image management, reporting, documentation and more, from a single system on one workstation with single sign-on

The session will also cover how a physician Web portal can be created with 24/7 hospital, office, home access to both patient data and images. Experts will also explain how to integrate images with related nonimage patient information (hemodynamic monitoring, disease management, ECG and EMR patient information) to create robust structured reporting capabilities.
