August 19, 2010 β A new mobile phone that provides a quick and simple way to measure, record and send vital electrocardiograms (ECGs) could help millions of people who suffer from heart-related medical conditions, claims its German inventors. The H'andy sana is a new full-featured, touch screen mobile phone that also includes an application called Heart Suite. This allows a person to take their ECG instantly from any place and at any time; and send it to a doctor or qualified medical professional for advice along with other data such as blood pressure, blood glucose and cholesterol.
The new mobile device will be launched in the United Kingdom later this year by Medical Marketing UK Ltd, which has signed a deal with MMB GmbH for exclusive marketing rights for the H'andy sana along with other innovative products in the MMB portfolio.
A number of leading telecommunications companies have already expressed interest in taking the H'andy sana to market.
