Nov. 10, 2014 — Merit Medical Systems Inc. settled a dispute regarding the distribution of the SecureLoc Safety Introducer Needle with Bard Access Systems.
Under the terms of a settlement agreement, Bard Access Systems granted Merit a non-exclusive, worldwide license to manufacture and distribute the SecureLoc Safety Introducer Needle under its own trademark, and a covenant not to sue Merit for the term of all patents covering the SecureLoc. Both parties agreed to dismiss all claims with prejudice in the litigation pending in the Third District Court in Utah.
Merit recently received 510(k) clearance from the FDA for the product.
