Siemens Medical Solutions’ Ultrasound Division introduced the High Performance Imaging release for their ACUSON Sequoia echocardiography platform. The release adds two new transducers to the system: the 9L4 Multi-D and the 17L5 HD. Multi-D array transducer technology provides uniform elevation focusing for improved contrast and spatial resolution.

Toshiba America Medical Systems Inc. announced the introduction of its Infinix VF-i/SP X-ray system, a universal cardiovascular system designed to accommodate diagnostic and interventional procedures. The system will be showcased at the American College of Cardiology (ACC) annual meeting in New Orleans March 24-27, 2007.

ZOLL Medical Corp. has received FDA clearance to market and sell the ZOLL M Series with Real CPR Help technology. The device enables rescuers to instantly see and hear how well they are performing the rate and depth of CPR chest compressions. The M Series is the Company’s best-selling product to date. The approval extends Real CPR Help to ZOLL’s complete defibrillator product line.

Cordis Corp. introduced the REGATTA Steerable Guidewire family of devices in the U.S. this week, which 12 selections of the REGATTA Steerable Guidewire and two choices of the REGATTA SB Steerable Guidewire. In April, the company plans to add the REGATTA HS Steerable Guidewire in two selections.
